Energy independence isn't just a political idea — it's a practical one.
I launched SolarTrek in 2010 with a simple belief: the technology to harness the sun's energy should be accessible to everyone, not just those who can afford a $30,000 rooftop installation. The SolarTrek kit and workshop program was my answer.
What Is SolarTrek? SolarTrek is a hands-on educational program that teaches participants to build their own solar-powered devices and off-grid charging systems. We start with the fundamentals — how photovoltaic cells work, how to size a system for your needs, how to wire components safely — and we end with a working device you built yourself.
The Book I wrote "Build Your FREE ENERGY Solar Charger!" as the companion guide to the workshop. It's a step-by-step manual that walks you through building the SolarTrek kit — one of the best portable solar chargers available in terms of performance, price, and portability. Available on Amazon in paperback and Kindle.
Why It Matters We live in a world where power outages, natural disasters, and rising energy costs are real concerns for real families. Knowing how to generate your own electricity — even at a small scale — is a form of resilience. It's also deeply satisfying. There's something powerful about holding a device you built that draws energy from the sky.
Workshops SolarTrek workshops are available for schools, churches, community groups, and corporate teams. If you're interested in hosting a workshop, reach out through the contact page.
The sun is free. The knowledge should be too.
